When it comes to recycling, Lodi is a very green kind of town. There are many recycling centers around the area that cater to all kind of needs whether that’s someone bringing in a bag of soda cans or a business dropping off a pallet of trash. As noble as these efforts are, they are still a bit labor intensive on your part. You have to load up your own vehicle and drive to where the recycling centers are. That might not always be practical. Especially if you have something that won’t fit into your truck. The better option would be to hire Junk King Stockton for all the take away tasks.
Junk King of Lodi is part of a national franchise of junk removal experts. This was a company founded back in 2006 by a man who was frustrated with the kind of service he had available to help his mother move. He couldn’t “buy a company” because there was no company to buy. Instead, he started Junk King based on the simple premise of providing efficient customer service and eco-friendly junk disposal. Now Junk King has branches in over 24 major cities across the country including Lodi.
Because they are part of a national franchise, the Stockton / Lodi branch has to follow those same guidelines when it comes to customer service. For Junk King that means showing up at the scheduled appointment time. Typically, you’ll get a call to let you know the JK crew is on the way and they rarely keep you waiting. Once they show up, the Junk King team will take away whatever you’re tossing out. Part of the reason why they are so popular is that you don’t have to lift anything. Wherever your junk is will be where the Junk King crew will go. That holds true for the piano in the back room and the patio furniture in the yard.
After Junk King has all your stuff loaded up on their truck they will be heading out to the nearest recycling center. You don’t have to worry about which facility is best or what their hours of operation are. Junk King takes care of all of that. If something can’t be recycled, Junk King will try donating it to a charity in need. These policies insure that the least amount of trash collected by Junk King will land in a dump.
When it comes to pricing, Junk King Stockton has the competition beat hands down. They charge by the amount of stuff you’ll be putting onto the back of their truck. That price is guaranteed. Find out why Junk King is number one in junk removal in Lodi.
The Waste Management Department is getting into the spring-cleaning vibe by offering four special events for local area residents. These are an e-waste drop off, a $1 dump day, a “clean your files week,” and a curbside cleanup. Unfortunately, by the time you read this post, those events would have come and gone. That’s the problem with these types of “helpful” plans; they don’t always work for your schedule. The other thing to consider about events such as these is that you’re still doing the bulk of the work. This means you’ll be loading up your car, driving it to the designated drop-off site and doing the unloading. That might work for a couple of bag of clothes and if you have several hours to kill on a Saturday morning. But what about throwing out things that won’t fit in your car? Or what if you don’t have the time to drive around Stockton looking for an approved dumping destination? The solution is
Keeping Lodi’s coast clean is a big job. That’s why an event like the California Coastal Cleanup Day is so important to stay on top of garbage removal. Each year, over 40,000 volunteers gather at cleanup sites up and down the California coast. The last time this event was held, over 350 Lodi area volunteers managed to collect upwards of 350 pounds of trash from the Mokelumne River and Lodi Lake area.
The California timber industry is bouncing back and that’s good news all around. At its peak back in 1988, the California timber harvest yielded 4.67 billion board feet. When the housing bubble popped that number dropped down to an abysmal 805 million board feet in 2009. But now with construction orders on the rise, it looks like timber is also adding to the stockyards. In 2011 there was 1.29 billion board feet harvested and that number just keeps going up. This is going to mean more jobs at lumber mills.
What shape is your kitchen in these days? If your kitchen is like the average home kitchen then it is the most visited spot in the house. Have you grown weary of looking at the same counters, cabinets and appliances? Do you yearn for a total makeover? Why not dive in and let this be the year you get a new kitchen. How “new” depends on how radical you want to go. One unique approach to a kitchen remodel is to give yourself more sunlight. Depending on the circumstances, this could be accomplished with a sunroof opening or a broader window over your sink.
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and California Prison Health Care Services recently broke ground on a $906 million, 1,722-bed inmate medical facility in Stockton. This will be a 1.2 million-sq-ft facility that will include a central kitchen area, diagnostic and treatment center, warehouse and support areas. As for security, there will be a 13-ft-high lethal electrified fence surrounding the prison along with and 11 strategically placed 45-ft-tall guard towers. In other words, this is going to be one secure place. The construction is supposed to take three years to complete. As construction projects go that’s a pretty decent amount of time but it will mean a lot of local workers will have steady employment. It’s also going to mean a lot of construction waste.
