It is always informative to check in with the Orange County Sheriff’s department to see what has been reported on. Recently, in the Laguna Niguel area someone called into report a loud vacuum cleaner was being used at 10:30 p.m. Although it’s kind of late to be doing house cleaning, at least someone cares about their property. Could a vacuum really be so loud as to warrant a call to the police? Then there was this fascinating crime story:
“A caller reported that someone knocked over his trash cans, causing damage to his residence. The guards at the gate knew who did it, but refused to tell him.” So you have a man whose property was damaged by knocked over trashcans. These must be some very heavy trashcans. Then the guards at the gate of this community knew who the culprit was but held back the information. Does this mean they are getting some sort of kick back from the trashcan bandit? What if the perp was a grizzly bear and the guards are just trying to avoid a panic. So many questions! However, it is good to know the Sheriff’s department is on top of things and will respond to all kinds of calls.

On patrol.
When it comes to junk removal, Junk King OC is kind of like that. They’ll respond to any call from a homeowner or business that needs junk taken away. They’re not going to ask any questions beyond what you’re throwing out, when do you want it thrown out and where do you live? That’s really all Junk King needs to know. Since they’ve been in operation, the Junk King OC crews have been called into clean up the demolition leftover from a remodeling project and all the rubbish left behind at a foreclosed property. They’ve also picked up dozens of old computers, printers, copiers, fax machines and other e-waste that needed to be properly disposed of. This means dropping those pieces off at a certified recycling center. Technically, you could drop them off on your own but do you really have the time for that? When you turn the chore over to Junk King, you can depend on fast service.
Are you in the remodeling mood? Converting a garage, basement, attic or spare room into a more practical space could be just the perfect DIY project to kick off the New Year. Before you tackle that type of job you’ll want to consider your options. What exactly is your goal? Building a home office means making a room comfortable for a desk and other equipment. You’ll maybe want a window or ceiling fan for comfort. On the other hand if you’re looking to turn your basement or garage into a screening room keeping the light out is a better way to go. And if you’re starting from scratch with a screening room you might want to plan out your speaker and television placement so you can sink the speakers into the wall and hire all the wiring.
Ask any parent what the happiest day of their life and they’ll probably relate the day their kid was born. Then they grow up to be a teenager and all bets are off! According to the law, until a child reaches the age of adulthood, which is 18, the parents are essentially responsible for their actions. This also means picking up the bill when the teen gets into trouble such as tagging. Recently, a local Orange County mom was slapped with an $18,000 dollar bill to clean up her son’s recent bout of graffiti “art.”
By now we’ve all bought at least one thing from Amazon. It’s just too easy especially with their “one click purchase” option. Also, the big discounts are huge plus. What many people new to the Amazon shopping experience might not realize is that when they first open their online business all they sold was books. Yes, it was a lot of books but it was just that: books. The natural expansion was to begin selling CDs, DVDs and computer games.
