It was a long time in the planning but Edina finally has a community garden. There will be 55 garden plots opened up on May 18th at the Yorktown Park near the Southdale YMCA. Along with the garden plots, there will be parking, a water source and fences to keep out the potential four legged invaders. Each plot is 10-by-10 foot and costs only $25 for the season. As with any type of community project there was a lot of grumbling as to whether or not this is a good use of space. Here’s the answer: it is! Any chance for folks to grow their own fresh produce is a good thing.
Seeing a garden like this in the neighborhood should inspire you to do some landscaping cleaning of your own property. What kind of shape is your backyard in? Could you dig up a plot of dirt to make way for some rows of veggies? What about your front yard? Do you need to replace some bushes or replant some flowers? This is the time of year to get all of that done and you don’t have to do it alone. A dependable Junk King Minneapolis crew is ready to pitch in and get your landscape clean.
It’s not just junk that the Junk King will clean up. Anything you’ve got in your yards that you want hauled away is what the Junk King is for. This is your chance to finally toss out the old BBQ grill that has seen better days, the lawn mower that doesn’t mow or the kids swing set that they outgrew years ago. If you’re really ambitious and want to do a complete patio makeover Junk King Minneapolis will also gladly take away piles of busted up concrete.
It’s all in a day’s work for the Junk King crew. Technically, it won’t take them but a few minutes to clear out your junk. While you get on with the rest of your day, the Junk King crew will move onto their next pickup. After their truck is full, they will then start making the rounds of the recycling centers or charity drop offs. Junk King doesn’t just dump your junk but they make sure if it can be reused that it will be given a second lease on life!
Beyond the yards, the Junk King team will also cart away anything else you want tossed out from the inside of your home. Just point to what you want taken away and the JK Minneapolis crew will have it gone. Start the summer off right with a clean home from front to back, inside and out!
Good news for baseball fans. Plans are under way for the Minneapolis based Ryan Companies to begin work on a $54 million ballpark to be located in St. Paul’s Lowertown district. The first phase of this project was to agree on what the 7,000-seat ballpark will actually look like. This was accomplished by pooling together talented designers and feedback from the community. Now that everyone is happy with the plans, the cleanup and demolition of the Diamond Products building can begin later this summer. This is typical of any type of construction project: first you’ve got to “clear the ground” before laying the new foundation. That will usually mean a fleet of dump trucks working around the clock. When it comes to your own debris removal project you don’t need a fleet of trucks when one will do just fine. And that one truck should be coming from Junk King, the junk removal experts of Minneapolis.
